What To Expect
What happens during a Sunday morning service?
We begin with some quiet music while people are gathering, then share information about upcoming events and any special instructions about that day’s worship service. After taking a few minutes to greet one another, we center ourselves with a few minutes of silence. The usual worship includes some singing, a prayer and reading of a bible passage, then a special message for our young people (and adults). Three Sundays a month, the children go to church school after this message, but on the first Sunday of the month and on special Sundays, the children remain with us. The worship continues with another bible reading, a reflection and a time of prayer. There is an opportunity to make a financial contribution to the congregation’s ministries and then we concludes with a closing song. After the service you are welcome to join us for coffee and cookies, meet someone new and ask any questions you might have.
On the first Sunday of every month, we celebrate Communion. Everyone is welcome to participate in this sacrament- Jesus fed everyone, so we do too.
Where do I park?
You are welcome to park in any of the spaces in the church parking lot. The entrance to the parking lot is the seconddriveway past the church on the right. You may also park in the City Hall lot directly across the street.
Where do I go when I get there?
Come in through the large white doors at the front of the church. There is a ramp to the left of the porch for those using walkers or wheelchairs. A greeter will be just inside the door to welcome you and answer any questions. You can also fill out the Welcome Card you find in the pew if you would like to find out more about us, and someone will contact you.
From January through March, we gather for worship in Pilgrim Hall, our fellowship room. To get there, enter through the double glass doors at the end of the sidewalk just to the left of the sanctuary. Turn right once you come through the glass doors and go up one flight of stairs. Pilgrim Hall will be on your left. We also have a stair lift for those who have trouble with stairs.
